On March 27, 2019 Ric Williams was recognized by over 200 of his peers and colleagues from across the Commonwealth at Pennsylvania Homecare Association Direct Care Worker Event. The day was culminated as Ric passed on the prestigious award of the 2018 Direct Care Worker of the Year to the 2019 recipient. His speech and encouragement to his peers was heartfelt. “Live each day with love in your heart and enjoy it”, he instructed. Words of wisdom he not only uses with his family but now has passed on to other aides throughout the Commonwealth.
Extended Family Care is honored to have employed Ric for the past 17 years and its 2019 nominee, Adriana Mesa for the past 21 years. Adriana is a valuable member of the Allentown branch and has received the company’s nomination due to her dedication and loyalty to each client she services. The branch’s Administrator, Carole Chiego, attended the event in support of her prized employee. “Adriana needs to be spotlighted”, Carole said. “She demonstrates respect in all she does for her clients. She treats them all as if they were truly her own family and in return her clients feel the same for her. We have received countless compliments over the years from clients and families, regarding the care Adriana provides and how she represents our company as a caring and compassionate professional”, Carole stated.
Her clients have expressed their gratitude of Adriana through testimonials citing her as “professional, reliable, hardworking, and compassionate”. Such traits in an employee will always contribute to the success of a company. Extended Family Care is pleased to have employed both Ric and Adriana for such a long period of time. “Longevity in a field of constant turnover can say a lot about the person and the Company”, said Stephen Sternbach, President and CEO of the parent company, Star Multi Care Services. “We feel blessed to have such wonderful employees who care about their clients, their co-workers, and also value the work ethic”, he continued.
